I got this camera adapter to allow me to do eyepiece projection photography. The problem is this thing doesn't do that very well. for starters, if you use the 1.25" barrel adapter, the barrels of your eyepieces hit it, and can't be inserted all the way. luckily I have a 2" t thread adapter that screws in where the 1.25" does (the lower barrel is a 1.25" t thread adaptor that hooks to the main body of this thing), so I was able to work around this... then the second problem hit. This thing is pretty narrow. to use an EP it has to be able to fit inside this thing...all of my higher quality EPs are too fat to fit, so I'm forced to use my cheapies - you know, the kind of junk EPs that come with some scopes, and I have to remove the eyecups from those just to get them to fit. I've tried to use this thing several times, and have not gotten good results with it yet. There are better options than this. I've already ordered a 13mm baader hyperion with the EP projection adapter...if you have the money, this looks like it will be a better solution than trying to fiddle around with this junk.

Universal camera adapters allow attachment of a camera body to reflector or refractor telescopes for both prime-focus and eyepiece-projection photography. The adapter slides into the eyepiece holder as an eyepiece normally would. The adapters are composed of two detachable parts: a prime-focus adapter (or T-adapter) for prime-focus photography, and an extension tube for eyepiece-projection photography. A setscrew in the extension tube holds the eyepiece in place. The adapters are compatible with 1.25" focusers. Each is precision made of black-anodized aluminum and is threaded for filters.
