Haven't had to use this yet, but tried it out and it's LOUD! Which is good, as if you do have to ever use it, the point is to get people's attention. Turning it off is tricky, but again the point is that a would-be attacker wouldn't be able to easily turn it off. The light is handy also. The only thing I don't like is that it's a little big for attaching to a key chain, I wish it were a little smaller.Digital camera Review: Ebay

I definitely feel safer with my key chain alarm. I don't find it difficult to activate and the placement of the alarm at the end of the key chain makes it very accessible. If I were to think of a negative it would be that I think the alarm sound could have been a bit louder. Nevertheless good product and worth the price.Digital camera Review: Needs a better clasp

I bought four of these alarms. One for each daughter, my mother and myself. The alarm is loud and effective. The two part deactivate is essential since it would keep a would-be attacker from quickly silencing the alarm. The flash light is handy as well. The problem is that 3 out of 4 of chains broke. Mine fell off and the light broke. I still carry it but it would be much more efficient if I could carry it on my keychain.
So if they made a stronger keychain/clasp I would definitely buy another one.

I got this because it seemed the cheapest (without being too cheap) portable alarm key chain around. The battery ran out really quick and the keychain part was very flimsy. It is nice and small though, and did provide me some peace of mind in the months after being mugged.
