With the cost of SD cards constantly dropping, it was only a matter of time before we would see it's little brother and baby also drop in price. The MicroSD card is finally in the affordable range, and this in an exceptional price for a 1GB card. The MicroSD and TransFlash cards aren't as fast as the full size high speed SD cards, but I haven't found a device that really requires the speed AND accepts the MicroSD (without the SD adapter of course). If you are using the device for it's intended purposes (MP3 player, cell phone/camera phone, etc) you will not be disappointed.
However, if you are trying to build computer and using this as a hard drive (using suitable adapters and parts) do not expect this to be extremely fast. Used as removable storage, this tiny device takes about 3x longer to write to than it's full size equivalent. So, although it won't be winning any speed contests anytime soon, it's tiny size may make up for that 'tiny' downfall.
