I had a problem with the drive on my Mac dual g5. It would not stay mounted on the desk top. I called for help and was forwarded to level 2 support when the first level support could not help. The problem seem to be resolved by plugging the power transformer directly into the wall outlet rather then into a power strip. I think that they should supply a power transformer that is more robust. Other drives work fine with the power strip I used. The documentation on the drivers is nonexistent. The transfers on firewire 800 are fast and work well.Digital camera Review: Fast and Spacious.

I have two 1TB drives with eSATA interfaces, and this is one of them. Compared to my other one (coolgear enclosure), this one is incredibly quiet. I currently use its Firewire 800 interface with my MacBook Pro with a partition designated for Time Machine. It's very fast, very quiet, and I'm amazed at how fast I can transfer files from my 1TB using eSATA to this drive using FW800.
I have absolutely no complaints, and have been extremely impressed with this drive.
