Digital camera Review: (update - NOT working for Samsung) Working for me with Samsung 3270

UPDATE 03/07/2010:
** DOES NOT APPEAR TO WORK WITH SAMSUNG DVR 3270 **
While the Samsung DVR properly recognized the 1TB of the Apricorn DVR Expander and showed a percentage free that included that storage space, what was not clear until just recently (actually the Olympics) was that the DVR was only recording to the internal Samsung DVR and when that got full, it would never record on the Samsung. So, with the Samsung screen showing 22% of the storage free, I was getting a 'Drive Full, Cannot Record' message. I called Apricorn, their response was that they haven't had much experience with the Samsung and to perhaps try a to return the DVR Expander and exchange for a new one, in case it is defective. I will try that. (Note, while the Customer Service does not have an answer to my problem, they have been courteous and responded to emails in a good time period).
I originally bought this to go with a Scientific America 8240, before I plugged this in, the SA went bad and got replaced by Time Warner with a Samsung 3270. Yay.
I've had this drive for over a month now and have had zero issues with it. I am very pleased.
Installation was a piece of cake. Just read the manual, it will tell you what order to turn the drive and the cable box on as well as proper steps to disconnect. The enclosure comes with an eSATA cable which is nice, the last drive I bought did not. The enclosure has a silent fan which is great to keep the drive cool (my last drive enclosure did not have a fan, never again).
One thing that is amusing, but they've handled it well, is that the LED light on the front of the enclosure is so bright that they enclose 3 stickers to cover it up with... just one sticker if you want it dimmer and 3 to blot it out. Works fine for me.
