We bought this remote for our in-laws as their original Sony TV remote finally broke down. This is a fine replacement remote especially for older people that may need larger buttons due to eyesight issues (or anyone with dexterity problems). The only drawback is that it doesn't light up so you can't see it well in a dark room. But the channel and sound buttons are large enough and located together at the bottom of the remote so finding them is pretty easy even in the darkest of rooms.Digital camera Review: Gave wrong color..but..

The picture is a silver remote, but I was given a black remote. No biggie, but I think I would have preferred the silver. Anyway, the remote works perfectly. I just wish Amazon would send what they said they were sending.

I needed a replacement universal remote but didn't want one with too many features. I didn't need a remote with DVD/VHS controls, plus I did not want a $40 replacement as it was for a spare TV. This remote turned out to the perfect replacement remote. The remote is simple with 2 program options and compact with very large buttons. Easy to program and very easy to use, unlike many other universal remotes with a number of extra buttons this remote gives you the basic options to change volume and channels and that's it. The product image shows a silver remote but I received a black one, so I guess you may get either color.
