I ordered the PCT 2-Port Bi-directional Cable TV HDTV Amplifier Splitter Booster from Amazon, and, as usual, everything was satisfactory.
I already had a fair signal from my cable supplier, but some channels (the low VHF) were weak, giving a dirty picture.
The PCT Booster Amplifier went in behind the TV set without a hitch, although a short coaxial cable was needed -- which was already in my junk box. All channels now give a very good picture, and I am happy.
One unusual thing is that the 15 volt DC output from the included power adapter is a standard, Type F coaxial connector, not the usual miniature plug and socket. This requires a coaxial cable to connect the power to the Booster Amplifier. Alternatively, the power adapter can be attached directly to the Booster Amplifier with a coaxial sleeve coupling -- which I already had. In this case, no extra cable is needed. There is a good reason for this arrangement, but it's another subject.
I chose the 2-port version, because that's all I needed, but a 4-port option is available at a low extra cost.
The Booster Amplifier is ruggedly-built in a metal case, and is protected against high voltage surges. Altogether a very good design, and I recommend it.
