Just purchased and Ipod touch 8gb and looked around for a cradle, but all the ones I found were too expensive. I found this one on Amazon and it was cheap enough, so I ordered it works great and the remote was a bonus. You have to go to the 32gp plus to get a remote at a $100 more for that feature. I have had no problems, however a bit of advice for the touch don't use the plastic cradle insert, doesn't allow for good contact on the touch but will stablize smaller Iopd units, IE. ipod Nano.Digital camera Review: Iphone remote control

The remote + cradle works fine with iPhone 3GS.
You have all the commands you need ( up, down, enter, Menu, Shutdown, mute, volume +, -).
The remote does not work unless is pointed straight to docking station.
I was not able to make the cradle to work with a TV out cable (Apple orig).
I want to be able to control the movie playing on tv using the remote even if the small manual says that it suppose to work.
Apple does not offer this features and the price is at least double.
Good price/quality: Yes.
Good quality: No.
If I would recommend to a friend: Yes.

I bought this dock and received yesterday.
It works very well with my Itouch.
As you know, Other docks are very expensive, and their remote contollers have NOT 'MENU' button. In this reasons, this is a very good dock.
But, it looks like a little bit cheap plastic product. :) that's it.
