The battery does what it is designed to do. IT increases your battery life considerably.

I purchased this battery a year after the phone, and as such my battery was also a year old. It couldn't hold that great of a charge so there was a definite difference in performance straight from the get go.

The case it comes with increases the size of the phone to account for the larger battery, which is quite literally twice the size of the old battery. It does a very good job of blending in with the phone despite its size.

My G1 had an armor case on it which wouldn't fit after the battery and back plate was replaced. I didn't notice any change in size because the phone with case was the same size as the phone with extended battery.

Have it be noted that yes, to repeat again, this battery does increase the size of the phone, but its easily managable. The increase in battery life is wellll worth the slight increase in size.

It went from less than 1 day worth of use, to an entire 2 days of use with the battery only reaching 30%. Standby time was nearly a week.

Anyway, this is a recommended buy especially for the price. It served me well, and I couldn't live without it.
