Digital camera reviews of 2GB Fuji Type-H High Speed xD-Picture CardDigital camera Review: Great memory card...excellent price! Summary: 5 StarsI bought this memory card in addition to a 512MB and 1GB Olympus cards I had. I wanted to get a high speed one for a change, and this one has been working great. Now i don't have to wait a while for my picture to load and i can work in burst mode without a problem. I work a retail store in South Florida and we sell the slow version of this (Type M) for $75 plus tax...needless to say, I was very happy getting mine here for total less than $65 and is high speed! Would recommend it if you can find it :-)
Digital camera Review: Tech support isn't realible! Summary: 4 StarsI just got this card for my FujiFilm F30, and in terms of saving video to the camera, it's remarkably faster--under a second now, no matter the amount recorded! Size wise, on an empty card, it maxes out at JUST under 30 minutes of video.
I haven't noticed a change in pic saving, but I assume there's a slight improvement.
When exporting to my PC, there is a DEFINITE speed difference. I'd say 35% faster?
Pay the extra ~20 dollars and get this over M. It'll be a worthy investment.
Digital camera Review: Note Type M and H xd cards are incompatible with some card readers! Summary: 1 StarsNote Type M and H xd cards are incompatible with some card readers!
I have a Fuji camera and bought an xd card type M. But it turns out that type M and type H cards are not compatible with all card readers (even ones that work with regular xd cards) so I have to use my cable and camera batteries to upload photos from my new card, or purchase a new card reader. Ugh!
Buyer beware!
Digital camera Review: 2GB FujiFilm Type H xD-Picture Card Summary: 5 StarsThis product was recommended to use with FujiFilm FinePix E900 digital camera. I have used the card for a few weeks now and I do not see any problem with it.
The product was shipped in its original packaging, sealed and brand new. My experience buying this product was satisfactory.
Digital camera Review: No difference in speed btw H and M for Fuji cameras Summary: 4 StarsI called Fujifilm technical support (1-800-800-3854, option #1) today and their tech support said there is no difference in speed between the H and M xD cards in-camera for Fuji cameras, including the F30, which is what I have. The Fuji rep also said that they do not sell Fuji H-speed cards in the U.S. for that very reason, and any cards sold in the U.S. are grey market, probably from Japan, and Fuji will not support these cards in the U.S. if they malfunction. Of course, Type H cards will be 2-3x faster once you take the card out of the camera, e.g., if you have a card reader and are downloading to your computer (but you will need to make sure your card reader reads H speed xd cards). Fuji did not think there would be a speed difference if downloading from your camera.
Update: The above review was written in January 2007, and Fuji now sells high capacity Type H xD cards in the U.S.
