Digital camera reviews of 3 FT Digital Audio Optical TOSLink Cable Optic 3ftDigital camera Review: Functional, but not for Yamaha Summary: 3 StarsI purchased two of these. The cable worked fine and plugged into my 360 and Dish network boxes perfectly. Oddly they would not lock into my Yamaha sound bar. They functioned just fine as long as I didn't pull on the cables. The Yamaha cable plugged into everything fine.
Digital camera Review: Can't go cheap in Optical I guess. Summary: 1 StarsUnder the assumption all cables are created equal I bought four of these. At the price it could not be beat. After a move I noticed the PS3 was no longer getting sound. Changing the optical cables produced sound. Trying the cable on another item proved twice that the cable was indeed broken. Like clock work every month after each wire failed. I wanted so much for it to work too.
Digital camera Review: Works perfect Summary: 5 StarsBuy this. It's cheap and it works.
Why get ripped off by Monster Cables' marketing?
It's a digital signal - the fast blinking light either makes it to the other end or it doesn't. Cable quality has almost nothing to do with it.
Digital camera Review: Works well, great price Summary: 5 StarsConnectors for this cable fit nicely in the sockets with a click - a concern expressed for some other cables in reviews. It worked fine as well.
Digital camera Review: Awesome works great Summary: 5 StarsThis product is so cheap and does the job. This is not as fancy as other expensive optical audio cable and it uses cheaper 1mm plastic optical fiber (instead of higher quality multi strand plastic or quartz glass). But it does the job what it supposed to do. I'm not sure you can make out the difference.
I connected PS3 to my home theater using this cable. It works great, the sound quality is clearly noticeable against analog audio cable. Don't get fooled by the low price.
