I ordered this as my backup charger in my car and at home. The car adapter didnot work at all and the USB cable worked sometimes with the wall charrger. This 3-in-1 charger for the iPod and iPhone is only about five or six dollars, whereas electronics stores sell them for about $30. I knew I was taking a risk buying a cheap product, but I went for it. I got what I paid for. I ordered 4 sets, and out of the 4, 2 sets were fully functional. One had a nonfunctioning car charger, and another had a nonfunctioning AC adapter. Also, sometimes the AC adapter charges my iPhone well, but recently my iPhone has been displaying a caution message that the charging device is not compatible. Several times, I unplugged it and plugged it back in, and was able to get my battery power back to halfway overnight. The 3-in-1 charger is inexpensive but frustrating. I've had this set for four months now, and I have not had any problems. I use the retractable charger to update my Ipod Touch almost every day, and I use the wall adapter with the Ipod's original charger several times a week. Both charge as quickly and easily as an apple product, in my experience.
At first, the USB charger did not communicate with my laptop- however, the item came with a small note indicating a troubleshooting tip to address this problem. After a quick tweak on my computer's USB port settings, the item worked just fine.
I have no experience with the car charger, so I can't attest to its usefulness.
When I bought this item, I saw several critical reviews and was concerned that the chargers would not work, or would break after a short period. This has not been my experience. The price, also, is ridiculously low. Normally, a single one of such items would cost 15-20 dollars at a Best Buy at least- and double that at an apple store!
This set has saved me money, spared my desk from needless cord clutter, and allowed me to keep my ipod fully charged at hotels and the airport. It's been a great purchase!

As stated, my charger works. Although, initially, I thought it didn't b/c I couldn't connect it. Finally, after not really seeing that as a major complaint in the negative reviews, I realized the issue was not the charger. Basically, the iPhone end of this charger is larger than the standard Apple one. Therefore, the edges do not clear the Otterbox Defender case I purchased for my phone. As I am VERY happy with my Otterbox, I won't be using this charger. This issue aside, I can see how this would not be a charger for long-term use. It's very flimsy and cheap. The cable itself feels like one good tug would snap it quite easily. So, long story short, if you have the popular Otterbox Defender case, which I highly recommend, this is not the charger for you.Digital camera Review: Complete waste of 4 bucks

Gives you the impression it's working when you hook it up (you know, the "sound" and the icon on your iPhone that suggests it's charging) but when you unhook it, NOTHING! Tried it in my car and with the adapter. Now I am going to buy an Apple brand, don't trust after market anymore. This is the 2nd cheapo device I bought for my phone from Amazon that doesn't work!!
Save your money and buy a coffee instead.
