Until I bought this mouse I had terrible pain in my fingers from clicking a mouse all day and was developing wrist pain, too. It completely solved my problems because it requires no movement of your fingers (well, besides your thumb) or wrist, however, this mouse is still a P.O.S. After a few months of use, mine developed the infamous "double click" problem so often mentioned here. Another person in our office experienced the same. So what are we supposed to do? There is no other mouse design like this, so it seems that 3m is under no pressure to improve quality and a great idea is thus being held captive in this chintzy plastic tribute to cheapness! I'm an IT guy, I've been in the business for better than 20 years. Using a mouse is a big part of my day. After years on a regular mouse, I developed problems with my wrist and elbow areas (all at once very painful). Using this mouse has cured my wrist pain, it's gone away completely and not come back. I bought 3 of these things, one for each computer. It's been a great solution in getting my hand oriented in a vastly different position than I was used to!Digital camera Review: Great mouse!

This is a great alternative to the traditional mouse. Give it a couple of days and you'll love it. 3M has excellent customer service if you ever have problems or questions. An overall good buy.
