Digital camera Review: Best In-Car FM transmitter I have ever owned

I had gone through three seperate in-car iPod FM Transmitters, all of which had a lot of static and never played well consistently, until I found this one. It is by far the best I have ever had. I have yet to have any problems with static and the holder/remote works perfectly to let you change music seemlessly while driving. This is the fourth FM transmitter I've had for iPods, and it's by far the best. I leave it on the same frequency pretty much all the time; I've only had to change it once when I was an hour outside of the metro area I live in. I can never hear any static or other noise; the sound is amazingly clear considering it's coming over the radio.
The remote is easy to use, and the unit itself is sturdy, attractive, and securely holds my iPod in place. I don't have to worry about where I'm going to set my iPod while I'm driving.
For $39.99, this is the best deal you will find for iPod FM transmitters.

I love this unit and actually bought a second for my wife two weeks after I bought my original one. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that it's not a very snug fit for my wife's 2nd generation Nano - and tends to let it slide out occasionally. For my full-size 30GB, it fits beautifully - as it would for the new, wider Nano.
The sound quality is outstanding.. especially compared to the Belkin TunecastII I had before this one. It's frequency range is excellent - full range from the 87s where fewer stations broadcast (the Belkin starts at 88.1 as I recall.
The USB port for charging my phone while still using this unit is a nice add-on that can really come in handy and I also use the remote more than I ever thought I would.
Kudos to Satechi... they really nailed it with this one.

This unit works fine for my son, the only precaution is to consider the space around your power source plug. In 2 vehicles it didn't have adequate clearance to fit.
The remote works fine and the sound is comparable to the CD and existing fm broadcasts.
Since purchasing this item I have seen similar products at cheaper prices but I have not tried to compare their performance.

I was worried when the transmitter became loose, started falling, and dropping my ipod. Then it got worse. Basically this thing is cheaply constructed and fell apart. The connections don't work anymore. I've only had this thing 3 monthes and have only really used it on the two short road trips I've been on. POOR.
