This should never have been sold. Now that I know what to look for, it is obvious even through the packaging that this is a counterfeit item. I would give 0 stars if I could because this item is not what it represents to be and can never perform the function for which it was purchased. It is not just a no-name 64GB with a fake Kingston label, it is a 1GB chip with forged metadata indicating it is 64. I have bought 2 Kingston 64 GB Data Traveler Flash Drives those are the biggest data sticks available and Amazon offered the Kingston at the best price by far.
I use them to transfer my files from one computer to another and no longer have to schlep a huge external drive which takes up a lot of room, is heavy and is easier to damage while packed in a suitcase.

I purchase a Kingston 64Gb Flash Drive from what appears to be a Kingston website ([...]) - linked through Amazon - a few weeks ago. The product finally arrived last week and it is defective. Files that were being stored in the drive were corrupted and it didn't work even after reformatting the drive. After reading other reviews, I realized that the company is selling fake drives and the company's website is no longer in service. Obviously, there is no way to get any refund back or even to contact the company. This flash drive is not a good quality device. It is defective. I lost some important data that I deleated, thinking it was on the USB drive. I found that my computer was not able to retrive the data because it was not able to read it after it was uploaded to the flash drive. Also I was not able to format the drive.
