Digital camera Review: Handy for Camping

I got it mostly for setting up campfires when...well..camping, but it's come in pretty handy around the house as well. Working under the sink, on the car etc. The first one I received was defective so I had to send it back and also paid for shipping it back which was lame, but received the second one and it's been working as expected. Head lamps work pretty well when you mount them on your bicycle ( I tightened my lamp on the the front reflector using head lamp's elastic straps). The nice thing about these lamps,they are cheaper than dedicated bicycle lamps and their angle is adjustable.
My previous (12$) head lamp had 2 LEDs and ran with 3 batteries (1.5 Volt) and I was hoping that 9 LEDs of this product would give better light. However, I didn't notice any difference between two head lamps although I didn't make any quantitative comparison ( a small solar panel connected to a voltmeter could tell you the difference)..
The mechanical part ( for angle adjustment) doesn't feel reliable ( it can be broken with time)
I didn't measure but the rotation angle is limited, say up to 90 degrees whereas my old head lamp can span more than 180 degree.
This lamp is not very big if you compare with bicycle lights but it is twice large as my older head lamp..

I ordered this for my husband as a stocking stuffer. I didn't expect a lot because of the low price but it did cost me almost double that price in shipping costs. We were very disappointed when it didn't work at all. First, the package states batteries are included...there were none. No problem...we placed new working batteries in it and still it would not work. We then re-tested the batteries, put them back in the unit and still it would not work. I e-mailed the company on 12/26/06 and received an automated response that a technical support rep would respond as quickly as possible. It's now January 9th and I still have heard nothing.
I would like to hear something back so we can resolve the issue. Thank you.

well i love to be cheap and this does the job i need it to do, there are 4 setting, the 4th setting gets weak as time battery goes by, but the led lights(settings 1-3) never go weak, i've had it for 5 months, havent need to change batteries yet.Digital camera Review: great product
