I totally recommend buying these.
After trying a lot of earbuds (sony, philips) - and very
expensive ones, I can surely tell you that AKG know what they're doing.
You would expect a company the specializes in acoustics, and makes
only one type of earbud-style headphones - will make them superb.
No buzz in the base, no hum in the pitch.
Buy, Buy, Buy.

What a surprisingly good set of cheap phones! Don't chuck your K240s, but if you need good sound with your portable music, get these buds.
When I first tried these, I was a bit disappointed as I had expected something magical. But when I compared them to my Sony ear buds, I could not believe how much better these AKGs were. I was content with my Sony's, only buying the AKGs on a whim, and glad I did. By "better" I mean that the AKGs seem transparent, without the exaggerated highs and lows of the Sonys. The Sony buds now seem shrill and harsh and I can no longer wear them. I wear the AKG all day long.
The AKGs little foam cushions come off easily and frequently. The retracting case stiff and does not well retain the cable on the spool. If you have an old Sony ear bud case, use it instead.

These headphones have amazing quality especially for the price. These earphones pack a punch in the bass. There is little comparision to the ones shipped with an apple Ipod. And those are $30!.
I do have some problems that wouldn't stop me from buying them for the price. They feel cheap. I dunno how long they will last. And also, they're not the confortable. The actual buds are not smoothed on the edges, so it annoyance to where them for long.
Bottom line though, if I needed another pair of headphones I'd buy these.

After I broke my iPod earbuds I was forced to use my closed ear headphones and they are just too large and hot to wear outside. After searching around a bit I was delighted to find the AKG K12P earbuds. For $18 you can't go wrong with these earbuds. I will admit though, I don't know what they meant by "turbobass" because the bass doesn't seem to be that great but thats fine with me because I rarely listen to bass heavy music. Overall these are really great earbuds and I'm really happy with my purchase!Digital camera Review: Super

I didn't realized this AKG is family of Harman. No wonder it has super sound clarity. i was looking at super clarity of earbuds for less $100. Had been try Boss, Sony, V-moda, Philips.... Just get more disappointment for those in-ear, isloated style bad low freq, and poor high freq. sound quality. None of them can provide clear sound of music. I have couple great CD with songs present great drum beats. That's only thing I need. A clarity of drum beat. I accidently get this pair and WOW... it's not new window syetm. It's whole new sound vision of era. With this little price, who can believe the sound quality and clarity is so clear and also rich. I don't car about bass that much. bit it does its great job on low freq. One review site said, the number of freq. range shown on product case is not important. the important thing is how this earbuds represent the sound. Yes, I will give it 10 stars if I could.
