Recd in record time, and came as ordered. My only concern was the fact that I had to install the battery myself before charging. It seemed easy enough however the battery leads were on the short side and I was concerned with stretch them to fit. It has been a great asset for my home, as now when the power shutoff momentary, I don't loose phone, internet or router. A huge plus, and the cost was ecconomical

This low end unit exceeded my expectations as to its features, especially the number of outlets available and the wide spacing between them to allow room for power supply bricks. This is a great unit for power protection on a budget. In my area, the electricity goes out several times a week during the summer. Sometimes it is just for a few seconds, though sometimes it can be out for several minutes to an hour. During the short outages, my computer does not even know anything has happened since the battery instantly provides the necessary power long enough to power down or make it through the short outage. In the week I have had two of these new units installed, I have found runtime to be in excess of ten minutes for a basic Dell and LCD monitor. In this price range, I was surprised to find automatic shutdown software with an included USB cable and extra phone cord. This unit is an excellent choice for the home user, and I have already suggested it to several others.
The only con I have is that the outlets themselves on the top of the unit are not of the same quality as previous APC units I have purchased back in the 1990s. Being honest, those older units were over $100 each, too. The outlets on this new 350 are very tight when inserting a three-prong plug and take some extra force to insert, yet a two-prong plug is just slightly wiggly. In consideration, this is really a trivial issue to me when compared to the rest of the unit, though someone else may be confused and wonder why the plug will not insert easily, so I thought I would mention it. Once the computer gear is plugged in, the average user will not do much power cord swapping anyway.

I don't have a lot of runtime on this product so we'll see how durable it is as time goes on. It seems fairly simple and well built for the money except for where the plugs plug in. These don't seem to be as tight as they should be and I am concerned about this being an issue later on. I gave this three stars because there is nothing exceptional about this product.Digital camera Review: Bad Clicking Noises
