Aside from being very comfortable to hold, the Trimline 210 has the most clear sound of any phone I have ever owned. Plain old telephone service (POTS) only has a 3KHz upper bandwidth but the engineers at AT&T figured out a way to boost the high frequencies on this phone. The sound is extremely bright (lots of high frequency content) which makes this phone a winner in my book. There's nothing worse than trying to understand someone using a muddy "noise cancelling" headset which in reality just filters out all of the high frequency content. This phone is strong and sturdy (though over the years I've managed to break one or two by repeatedly dropping them) and has all the basic features I want, including the three easy-to-program speed dials, the redial button, the volume control, and -- for me the most useful of all -- a switch to turn off (or to simply lower the volume on) the electronic ring, so I can let the answering machine pick up calls when I'm asleep. And of course a land-line phone is not going to be useless if the electricity ever goes off. I have used At&T Corded Trimline phones for many years. A cheap Conair phone which I bought because it was green(a hard color to find)needed to be replaced because the numbers to dial out disappeared off the buttons within 9 months of use. The Trimlines have all the features you want in a land line phone,are dependable, but most important you can't beat the price. Cost is low but it Is NOT a cheaply made phone. The other Trimline I own has lasted more than 12 years so I'll stay with white & quality. Digital camera Review: Good value for the money!
