Digital camera reviews of AT&T EP5632 5.8 GHz Digital BlueTooth Enabled Cordless Phone with Answering System

Digital camera Review: Great for Home Office
Summary: 4 Stars

I purchased this phone because I had been having serious issues with Dect 6.0 phones in my home. While the product was a bit costly, it was essential for my home office and was a great purchase. I'm concerned with the battery life, as I am on the phone for business several hours a day, but so far so good. I would recommend this phone to anyone who has problems with Dect 6.0 phones and is looking for a quality home office phone.

Digital camera Review: Great for a Small Business
Summary: 5 Stars

I am a solo hairstyist and needed a handsfree phone with Bluetooth capability, I was also a Bluetooth Virgin. After seeing this phone favorably reviewed on several other sites, I decided to purchase it from Amazon because they had the best price. I found it very easy to set up and had no problems pairing it with the Bluetooth Headset. It has many of the features that I needed at work and I want to purchase another one for home! On the fun side, I have been entertaining myself and clients with the many interesting ringtones on the handset; we are listening to Big Band this week.

Digital camera Review: Great phone to cut your ties to POTS with
Summary: 5 Stars

I wanted to get rid of my crappy, static filled POTS line that no one could ever seem to fix. Plus, I paid $66 a month for local phone service, when I could add a line to my cell plan for $9.99 (+ taxes, of course) and share in my huge bucket of cell minutes (most of which don't seem to get used thanks to free mobile to mobile calling anyway). I ported my old landline number to a 5th cell phone, and bought this system, and this system will pay for itself shortly.

For three weeks I've enjoyed this phone - it's bluetooth stack seems very reliable - even though I couldn't buy a new cell phone on the AT&T bluetooth compatibility list (they're all a little old - although they could be had as refurbs), it works VERY reliably with the Nokia 6085 that I got from AT&T Wireless for only $20.

I like being able to "name" the handsets - it makes the intercom feature far more useful than the old V-Tech system I used to have (ironically, V-Tech actually makes this system for AT&T). I only wish additional handsets were a little less expensive, but the base is VERY reasonably priced, and overall, even with a bunch of extra handsets, it's a fair deal for a reliable system with great bluetooth connectivity.

A feature no one seems to make much out of is that the base unit can charge a spare handset battery and run on it if the AC power is out. This is a must have feature in my book for any cordless phone system (and yet all too rare). And since this system is really made by V-Tech - spare batteries are easy to come by (about $10 online) - I'd highly recommend you get one right away.

Sound quality is great, it does all the things a phone should do well in the year 2008 (good range, no static, etc.), and best of all, the bluetooth sync is very reliable so far. Buy this system and ditch your old landline without thinking twice.

One caveat - just remember - the answering system and missed call indicators only work with landlines - so you'll have to access your voice mail via your normal wireless provider's procedures - no big deal for most, unless you're hooked on seeing the blinking red light on every handset for missed calls or messages.

Digital camera Review: I love this phone
Summary: 5 Stars

I had a Vtech cordless phone with caller ID which never worked right. I bought this new phone and love it! Connection to my cell phone via the bluetooth was easy to set up and is even easier to use. The caller ID issue I had with the Vtech phone is not an issue with this phone. Even my technologically savoy children like this phone. I would suggest it to anyone.

Digital camera Review: I was nervous. I am pleased.
Summary: 4 Stars

The complaints about this product made me nervous about ordering it, but the competing products were either much more expensive, or received even worse reviews, so I decided to try it.

The phone works. The extra handset I ordered was no trouble to connect, and it was easy to rename the handsets to help see where they are located. The phone may not be fully duplex, but I've found that I can still hear when talk is going on at my end.

The BlueTooth feature was one that I really wanted, and it was initially frustrating. I have found that I need to manually disconnect the audio device if I want to be able to pick it up again later. If I just allow my cell phone to go out of range I need to reset the phone (turn it off, then on) in order to use it properly again. In my mind, this is a minor inconvenience. I can make and receive calls on both cell and land-line, and although I haven't tried it, the setup suggests that both can be employed simultaneously (with different handsets). My cell is a Motorola Razr V3xx, so your mileage may vary.

I haven't read the manual, as all of the setup I've done has been straightforward. The answering machine works well, and it's nice to be able to get and delete messages from the handset. Getting messages by dialing in also works well. The speakerphone feature of the handset also works surprisingly well, given the size of the thing. We don't subscribe to caller ID, but it does get the caller ID from cell calls.

All in all, not a perfect product, but a good one, and one I don't regret buying.
