I purchased the action cam for use on my motorcycle to chronicle some of my road trips. It works great outdoors with sufficient light but don't try to use indoors unless there is abundant lighting available. The video cam is very rugged and built to take abuse. Picture quality is what you would expect from a $50 piece of electronics. As mentioned in other reviews the sound quality is lacking. I found that turning the sound off while bike riding is better than having to listen to all the wind noise. I found that the plastic mounting hardware is best used if not tighten fully. The threading will seize very easily if over tightened and breakable can occur if too much force is applied trying to loosen the mountings. I used a dry lubricant on the threads and that seems to help greatly. Digital camera Review: so far...

So far I have used the camera only a number of times. In the pool, house and bike.
Over all the image quality is not bad, better in the water on over it though I think and the fact there is no image stabilization is a great shame. It shakes to much, but you could run with it stabilization program (i guess).
For the price it cost and considering 640x480 a few years ago was considered good, I'm happy to use it to improve my swimming technice. With the family on our road bike and at home when i can't find my other camera and need something simple and quick.
The sounds quality from what I used is not good, but again from the price, water and shock resistance and those times you need something quick its fine.
I would buy it again and was about to for a friend for his birthday. (i think main cost ~$60-70).

The video quality and operation are as expected and as described. However, the claim that this is "easily mounted" is b.s. the flat-sided helmet mount does not securely fit on any modern bike helmets, as most of them have some sort of uneven ridges. The mounting illustrations in the manual are garbage, too. I am not going to spend money on a new helmet, instead, I have to rig some optional mount with zip ties, duct tape, whathaveyou , which is a major pain. Just be advised folks, if you use this for mountain biking, you WILL have mounting issues. They do not indicate this in their advertisements. Digital camera Review: The ATC K2 is great!

The Oregon Scientific ATC 2K Is great I just mounted it to the handlebars of my bike and It works great at capturing all the action of our club rides. See for yourself just search YouTube for pdpotsko514. Yes it giggles and wiggles if the pavement is not smooth but it works great have not yet put it under water but that is coming with skin diver cam.
