Digital camera Review: Great speakers for a great price

After some research I finally ordered these speakers through Buy.com. Note that each AW822 comes as one speaker with one transmitter, so in order to get stereo you need 2 speakers. And yes, they are stereo speakers - each speaker can be set to left, right or mono operation. Each speaker has individual volume control and on/off switch.
Positive points:
good sound, and with 7.5W per speaker a good volume.
Signal transmission is good (I am using it outdoors in the patio, with transmitter in a room at the other end of the house).
Speakers appear to be weatherproof (left them outside in torrential rain and still working..)
No interference through other devices.
Negative points:
Very occasionally the signal can get lost. If this happens or the transmitter blanks out then there is an annoying static sound from the speakers.
If operating on batteries: each speakers needs 8 C batteries... so I got 16 C batteries for the two speakers. Batteries hold the charge very long, at least several hours (I got rechargeable batteries - recharge automatically whenever the speakers are plugged into the AC adapter).
Conclusion: great outdoor speakers for a reasonable price, would definitely recommend them !!

I have used two as stereo speakers (one right and one left) on my deck several times this summer. They have great sound quality and range for such a reasonable price. I have also purchased C size NiMH Rechargeable batteries with 5000 mAh. They have played for three hours before I shut them off without recharge. Amazing! You plug the AC adapted in and they recharge automatically. The instructions don't address recharge time so I charged for 8 hours. I am very pleased.Digital camera Review: Great value, not bad sound

For a weather resistant, inexpensive, wireless speaker, this does what I expected. The attractive pricing coupled with its wireless capability screamed "buy me". So I did. It's worked outside on our partly covered patio for 9 mos out of the year. I have a large pool area that required additional outdoor speakers. The sound quality was better than expected! I bought 4 wireless AR AW822 speakers. Three of the 4 work perfectly. One speaker still has a "hiss" despite trying my best to find a better location. I like the individual volume control on each speaker. I think they were a great buy for the money and would definitely recommend them for anyone who wants more speakers without having to run the wiring. Keep in mind, though, that unless you're ready to change batteries often, you still need to find an electrical outlet to plug each speaker into.Digital camera Review: Great!

This speaker is amazing! I heard about this particular model when I was reading articles about outdoor wireless speakers. I came to Amazon and when I realized how affordable it was I bought it instantly. Setting up this speaker was really easy. I ran it on battery power during one of my pool parties for about 6-8 hours and was very impressed with the sound quality, and extremely impressed with the battery life. On 8 C batteries the speaker went all day! I highly recommend this product.
