Digital camera Review: Mediocre touchpad: right click doesn't always work
Summary: 2 Stars

I bought this hoping to replace the touch pad on my laptop. I also was hoping that the flexibility to move the pad around my desk would help me avoid RSI/carpal tunnel in my wrists. Unfortunately, it is not as robust as I would like (right mouse click does not always work) and is not ideal for other reasons mentioned below.

Pros:
- Touchpad works (moves the mouse around the screen as it should)
- I didn't need to install any drivers on my Lenovo Thinkpad from 2008, running windows XP
- Slide-Scroll on the right of the touch pad is nice but does not provide very fine scrolling control (I think a scroll wheel on a mouse does a better job).
- Single tap on the touchpad works as a left mouse click.
- left mouse button works (pretty much all the time)
- It's nice to be able to move it anywhere on my desk (constrained by the USB wire)

Cons:
- Right mouse button does not always work. The button seems like it was jammed into the device a hair further than the left button. Sometimes I try to pry the right button out/off a little bit and then it seems to work more regularly at least for a little while. But I think this is how it was manufactured (I don't think it's damage during manufacture or shipping)
- The wired connection is a little annoying. I have a wireless keyboard so it would have been nice if this was wireless also (more flexibility in where I can put it and how far from my computer).
- It is not as stable as I think it should be. Clicking on the left or right buttons can lift the top corner(s) off the table. This may be related to the right mouse-button not working and my trying different things (pushing from different angles and different amounts of force) to get it to work. But it is a bit frustrating to have the mouse start to move around as I'm working on it. I may have to tape it down to something to make it as stable as it needs to be.

I've only had this touchpad for about a week and I'd like to give my hands a little more time to try it out, but so far I am not impressed and don't really recommend it. I think my ideal solution will be a wireless keyboard with build in touchpad and mouse buttons (but I don't want to pay for another "trial" yet).

If anyone found a simple 2 button touchpad they like, please let me know.

Digital camera Review: My favorite stressless "mouse"
Summary: 5 Stars

I've tried so many other types of mice and this is by far the most stress free on my hands/wrists. Like any mice whether its conventional or trackball or touch pad, they all take getting used to. If your hands/wrists are hurting you, give this a try!

Digital camera Review: Nice idea, but, sloppy execution
Summary: 2 Stars

I'd like to have titled this review "Nice idea, but CHEAP execution. However this product is not cheap. It costs a lot as mice go, and one should be able to expect a top-notch product. However, this touchpad is done at cheap cost, sloppily and sold for a relatively high price.
What is right with it? The concept of an external touchpad is great. The size and weight of the product are good. That's about it.
What is wrong with it? The design and finish are just plain poor and poorly thought out - or maybe just NOT though-out. The surface of the trackpad has a really bad feel. One would expect far better from a standalone touchpad - I have seen far better surfaces on integrated touchpads in laptops. Furthermore the buttons are stiff and the are positioned wrongly. They should be flush with the surface of the touchpad, not higher than it as they are.
This product is just sloppy in everything but the pricing. Dont be fooled into thinking it is a high-quality product - it isnt.

Digital camera Review: Not so good
Summary: 2 Stars

I have been using a trackball of 1 sort or another ever since my 1st computer. After seeing, & reading the details on how this works, I thought this would be a perfect UPGRADE to a trackball! My thinking being this would be MUCH better than a trackball, in ease of use, accuracy, just all around BETTER than a t/b! Very mistaken! This is just to small an area to work on,( or with), it is EXTREMELY sensitive! To much so! And, at the same time, you can do all but hit the thing w/a hammer, & it wont respond! So, if you can understand this, it is much to responsive, & NOT nearly responsive, ( or sensitive) enough at the same time! I am going to try the Browser cat touchpad, just to see if that may fix the problems? I do like the idea of the touch pad, & hope the new 1 will work fine?

Digital camera Review: OKAY BUT COULD BE BETTER!
Summary: 3 Stars

IT TAKES 2 OR 3 TOUCHES TO MAKE THE TOUCHPAD GO. IT'S VERY FRUSTRATING WHEN YOU ARE IN A HURRY! NOT VERY SENSITIVE TO THE TOUCH.
