Day 1 impressions:

First off, anyone who buys these headphones for the volume control should know that the volume control only cuts the loudness down to about half... it does NOT go from 0% to 100%, more like 50% to 100% volume. I am not happy about this but I suppose its better than no volume control at all.

price/value considerations:

$10 build/design/workmanship quality--- very flimsy and fragile looking, I don't expect them to last very long.

$20 sound quality--- coming from sennheiser 280 pro's, these sound like crap, but they are a notch better than most freebie headphones included with audio devices.

$30 for closed back/sound isolation--- they decently isolate general office noise, but I don't expect them block airplane or loud traffic noise.

$40 for a volume control--- does not provide full volume range, only about 50% to 100% volume.

I chose these headphones for the volume control and closed design. I wanted an easy access volume and incoming/outgoing sound isolation for daily office work. Well the volume control sucks, the sound quality is passable at best and mediocre at worst. I expected from the photos and some of the other comments that the build quality might be suspect, and well... I wasn't too impressed.

I would not really recommend them to anyone for the current price, maybe for the $20 range tho.
