I highly recommend the Altec Lansing inMotion iM600O product over the Logitech mm50 Portable Speakers. The rechargeable battery system on the Altec Lansing inMotion iM600 actually works!...rechargeable battery system on Logitech mm50 Portable Speakers will not. Trust me...I went through 4....yes 4 purchases of the Logitech mm50 Portable Speakers...and returned them all for the same issue...the rechargeable battery system would not hold a charge. If you are going to always have the speakers plugged into an outlet then either will do...but if you want to true portability...then Altec Lansing inMotion iM600 is the ONLY way to go.Digital camera Review: Altec Lansing portable docking station

We just love it! We took it on vacation and it turns your IPod into a great sound system. You can play without electricity for up to 3 hrs so when the radio signal faded we were able to continue to hear music. When electricity is available just plug it in for longer listening. The sound is GREAT and its a great size too. It has a radio in case you want to switch to that. I highly recommend this product. So far I have nothing negative to say about it. Before purchasing this product, I borrowed a friend's bose ipod speakers (Can't remember the model, but the popular ones). The sound was only slightly better than these (Definitely not worth the price difference). The features of this product (FM Radio, easier navigation without remote, etc.) definitely out way the slight difference in sound production. The only bad thing I can say about this product is it is marketed as portable, but they made it out of a very easy to scratch and print plastic. (Very smooth and glossy). It is always covered with fingerprints. Not worth giving it a lower rating, but sometimes I wonder what designers of products are thinking...
