Digital camera Review: Amazing sound in a small package

This iPod system is very powerful. Turn it up to max volume & you'll hear no hint of distortion. And at the size of a small book, it's very convenient for traveling (especially when battery powered) or for tabletops. It also includes an FM tuner which most other systems lack.
This system is much better than the comparable Logitech system at the same price - better sound, LED layout, FM radio. And I think iM600 sounds better than the $250 Bose system. Great value

My girlfriend had an iPod Nano she took the gym and no sound system in her apartment, so I figured I'd get her something like this. Obviously, Amazon has TONS of options, but I narrowed it down to this one...
Let me tell you, this thing is AMAZING. Superb sound quality, plus it plays the iPod and the radio. It also charges the iPod while it's synced. Unbelievable! Highly recommended!

A nice looking unit, sounds fine, even has good stereo imaging if you are sitting within three feet of the unit, as reccommended in the manual.
But the remote would do absolutely nothing towards controlling my Ipod. It would not change songs, forwards or back, would not pause, and did not turn the Ipod off when it turned off the iM600 . Nothing in the manual addressed whether or not the remote was intended to do these functions. But if not, why would they refer to it as a full-function remote?
Is that why they say to sit within three feet, to reach the Ipod?
I returned it to Future Shop the next day.

I'd recently bought an ipod nano and now I have the perfect partner. This sounddock is superb listening. A friend said it would change the way I listen to music and it does. I get so little time to listen to music. Now I can listen to my ipod in the kitchen and I'm getting a bit more up to date with what's out there in the music world. The price of the IM600 is so good compared to the bose and, having heard both, the quality is the same. and the bonus of course is the radio.
