Digital camera reviews of Altec Lansing inMotion iM716 HeadphonesDigital camera Review: Horrible sound from the IM716 Summary: 1 Stars
This noise cancelling headphone doesn't cut any noise and the quality of sound is horrible. I don't recomment this purchase to anybody!
Digital camera Review: Im716 Summary: 4 Stars
Great sound quality, although the volume control attached to the wire gets in the way if you do not clip it onto your shirt. I recommend keeping the setting on "Bass" because otherwise the sound is sort of tinny and weak. Prepare to keep them in a clean pouch or plastic zip lock bag because you do not want to put dirty flanges inside your ear. The case it comes with is unpractical due to the amount of effort/time it takes to get them properly in there. Other than those minor issues, its great...I prefer these over any sony/ipod/or creative earbuds.
Digital camera Review: Information NOW! - Review later ':-) Summary: 4 Stars
I just ordered these (121207) at the liquidation price of $45 from J&R (via Amazon). When I receive them, I'll post my impression.
Be advised, for those that may be put off by an earlier post which said that the filters are NOT available, true - Altec Lansing HAS discontinued the product and product support. However, a quick talk with 'Rich' at Etymotic Research informed me that the Altec Lansing IM716, uses the same pink/red filter used by Etymotic Research's "ety8" model. SOOOooooo, you don't have to live with a filter-less IM716. Hope this helps.

Digital camera Review: Medium quality for high price product Summary: 2 Stars
I bought an iPOD (8GB) and I thought to upgrade my listenning experience by buying extra high price earphone from a very good company (altec lancing are great in speakers).
When I plugged them into the iPOD i was supprise by the sound image mediocracy.
The original iPOD earphone are much better.
So, I thought maybe impedance do not much the iPOD. So I test on my Denon Hi-Fi, Still iPOD earphone had much reacher sound.
Most of the time I never regret buying in high price. This time, I don't know what to do with these earpohone.
I can say that sound seemed to be accurate, but lack of Bass, treble is not smooth (I wouldn't pay $20 for these earphone).

Digital camera Review: Microphonics drives me crazy!!! Summary: 1 Stars
I bought these back when they were on sale for something less than $50, can't remember exactly how much. . .
Others have applauded the superior sound quality, and I will second that without repeating the details. However, there is too little emphasis on the side effects of this technology: microphonics, the noise induction when under isolation.
Basically, the cables connected to the earpieces rub up against your shirt, ID badge, iPod, whatever. . . and you hear every single impulse and beat of that damn cable moving around. It's akin to hearing a motor boat miles away when underwater or holding your ear against a wall to eavesdrop on your neighbor. I find myself having to hold myself completely still to enjoy my music when I wear these.
So, if you are mostly docile and sedentary when listening, you'll be able to enjoy these. If you're moving about the slightest, such as rotating in your chair to reach for a pen, you WILL hear that cable rubbing. If you're looking for something to take on your jog, keep on looking. The cable noise will drive you crazy.
There's a new drawback with the advent of new digital music devices. The jack won't fit into the iPhone! Not good.
