Wow! If you like to browse the radio stations of the entire world, this is your product. It is inexpensive and reception is largely clear. There are still a few minor kinks to work out. But, anyone who has depended upon Short Wave Reception in the last century should upgrade to this product. This is version 1.0. It can only get better!

I have never been so amazed at the sounds of different music from around the world. So many channels to pick from and no monthly charges. I installed it on Vista and installation was pretty easy - just make sure you turn off your firewall to allow Aluratek to have internet access or add it to your trusted sites. This is a great gift for someone who travels around the world and wants to stay current and up to date with "home" news since there are thousands of talk radio stations as well. It has locked up on me a few times but I can't complain since it is getting information from across the world. This does not happen all the time just during certain times of the day. Figured it is probably due to the radio's internet server being overloaded at a busy time.Digital camera Review: Big World

This is the perfect thing for real music lovers and radio worshipers. Hours of searching all over the world for more great radio stations to add to your favorites. Easy to use and very rewarding. Stations in the netherlands are just a few of my fav's, and you use no space up on your hard drive.

This item works in the fact that you can listen to a lot of things are very far away from what a regular radio will pick up. How ever the Menu is very time consuming,it does not work fast and takes time to find the station you are looking for. You must filter through stations to find what you like, and the genre lists are not very effective at finding what you like. Some times it has a bad signal and switching stations is not intsant. I got this as a gift for some one who is not very proficient with computers and they have trouble using it, there are free services that are better than this device. Hope this helped good luck
