I lost the power plug to the Kindle Power cord so I couldn't charge the Kindle. I needed only a new plug but had to buy the entire replacement kit. I am making sure I don't lose the new power plug! I recieved the Amazon Kindle Power Adapter in a acouple of days of placing the order and was pleasantly suprised. A large box for a small package! I had no problems hooking the adapter to the Kindle and it charged the Kindle just like it was supposed to. I am pleased with Amazon's products, shipping and service. The Kindle 2 AC to DC power converter is one of the coolest converters I have ever seen. The converter is the size of an AC plug, yet it takes 120-240VAC for its input and outputs 4.9VDC at 0.85A. It is a marvel of technology to produce such a small converter as complex as this one is. I bought the extras to use for other 5VDC devices I have and I will probably by more.
