I use the AmazonBasics Toslink Digital Audio Optical Cable to connect my sound card on my computer to my 5.1 Surround Sound Logitech Speakers. The 6 feet cable provides more than enough reach between the optical socket on my sound card and the optical socket on the control console for my speakers.
As opposed to conventional speaker wiring, optical cables (AKA Toslink cables) prevent the degradation of audio signals from the source to the speakers. The speakers will thus be able to produce sound that is free from distortion. Sweetness!
Kudos to Amazon for their Frustration-Free Packaging. The package comes in an easy-to-open cardboard box. The connector on both ends of the cable are protected with rubber caps. The caps are not tethered like the ones from some manufacturers but that's a minor issue.
