I bought 2 of these 8 months ago. One for me the other for the wife. It does a pretty good job of cooling the aluminum top is durable and transfers heat well. The cord is the problem it is messing up on both I need to sit very still or it will stop. I really only use high speed but it is quiet. I am going to try another brand cooler for 30 bucks it is worth a try. Plus I will still have this one if all else fails.Digital camera Review: :)

Digital camera Review: A Great Laptop Cooler for Large Laptops!

I purchased this laptop cooler, because I needed something to handle a 17" laptop computer. Most companies do not make coolers powerful enough for them, or big enough! Not only that, most laptop coolers were really, really loud, or one fan would work, and the only you would have to nudge to make work. This one, right out of the box was perfect. It fit under my 17" Laptop, it's not very loud, and it cools my laptop off quickly and efficiently. Heck, I loved this product so much, I am giving one to a family friend this Christmas!
Some people complain about the blue LED light on the side of being too bright and distracting. I do agree, it's bright, but for the price of this laptop cooler, and how well it works, you shouldn't care too much about that. If you are looking for something to keep large or smaller laptops cool, this is the product for you!
Digital camera Review: A Pretty Durable Fan

I got this fan in December of '07, and it's still going over a year later. The fans are still going strong, and when I can get it to run, it keeps my laptop nice and cool. The problem is the port in the fan for the USB cable is on its way out, which means I have to constantly play with the cord until I can get it to connect, and then play with it some more later, but that problem only came up about a month ago, and it's just starting to get to me. The blue light that ticked me off so much when I first bought the thing is now my favorite aspect, as it lets me see when I need to play with the cord. The fans aren't exactly quiet anymore, but it's kind of a peaceful hum. If you can find a product that's built like this one with just a more durable socket, I definitely encourage you to buy it, but as I haven't been able to find one, go with this. I'm probably about to replace mine with the same thing.
