Fantastic product. Just rocks with my existing Airport Extreme. Best part is that the Ethernet in the Airport express is two ways. Either connect a computer to it or connect DSL.

I use this to extend the wireless network created by my Time Capsule (dual band). It serves 3 purposes:
1) Gives my basement wireless coverage. As good as my Time Capsule is, the far reaches of my basement had weak spots, including our school room- where we really need internet. No more dead spots.
2) Gives my home theater internet access. Most of my AV equip is network ready- but they are wired ethernet ports. I connect this to a Trendnet hub (also bought here) and all my devices can get online for firmware updates, internet radio, and Amazon video on demand).
3) stream music to my home theater. sometimes it drops out, I don't know why, but connected with digital toslink cable to my AV receiver for instant access to my itunes library, controlled with my iphone and the remote app. Cool.
UPDATE: I moved the AX out from behind all my AV equip and a little closer to the main Time Capsule (about 50ft away and one floor down.) I also recently updated the firmware on my Time Capsule and I have not had any more dropouts. Sometimes I sleep in the media room (dark cold basement) and I use this to stream music as a noise machine. I've streamed music for 8 hours straight without problems.

Already had an extreme running my network w/an express serving iTunes to my stereo and loved both. Needed to bridge a DVR for MRV. It was simple, and is rock solid. Cost a bit more, but in my experience , definitely worth it !Digital camera Review: Audio Directly from your Apple Wifi-Enabled Device

This little device is great as a wireless access point--truly. Especially now with Apple's latest IOS (4.x). Apple's AirPlay allows you to stream directly from iTunes on your Mac or PC or from your iTouch/iPad/iPhone. This allows you to take whatever audio content, from iTunes or the web that you access via your Apple device, and play it over your home wifi network, through your powered speakers connected to the Airport Express.
I use my iPhone to stream Pandora and NPR broadcasts via their respective apps. Whenever I get home from work, I don't have to turn on a single home entertainment device I have. My Apple device has already found and conneced to my home wifi network as soon as I am in range, so all I do is turn on the Pandora app, select Airport Express from the drop-down in the Pandora user interface, and click play. Music I am streaming from the Internet via my iPhone immediately begins playing from my home speakers! This works exactly the same for the iTouch and iPad. You could totally get a few Airport Express devices and put 'em all over your house and play music in every room--or not. The user interface lets you control which Express devices to use. Even at around $100 a unit, it's still cheaper than a Sonos home-wide implementation.
If you have already sold your soul to Apple and are already using an Apple wifi-enabled device of some kind, you could definitely benefit from adding the Airport Express to your home network--even if you already have a router.

Airport utility has difficulties to login to the airport express using "manual" or "continue".
Best alternative File->Configure other and enter IP address + Psswd.
Compared to an old linksys web interface, airport utility is not any better if you need to integrate the device with 3rd parties equipment.
