I purchased Airport Express on recomendation from my son. I bought it primarily for the purpose of streaming audio from my computer wirelessly throughout my home. Setting it us was difficult as the instructions which accompanied the product were not clear at all. I went online with an Apple representative and he help me get started in less than 10 min. Once I had it set, it has performed flawlessly. I have not yet tried if for printers or wireless networks for computer access.Digital camera Review: Awesome for streaming music!

I bought the Airport express only to stream iTunes to my stereo. I haven't tried the wireless printing feature and am not using it as my router. I was a little hesitant to buy it after reading reviews by people that had trouble getting the Airport to work with their PC. Luckily I had very little trouble setting it up. Like another reviewer suggested, I linked my computer and the Airport via ethernet while running the setup program. I did have to run the setup twice (not sure what I did different the second time). It works flawlessly with my Windows 7 based PC and Netgear router--so don't let previous bad reviews detract you!
The Airport will only send your iTunes to your stereo, which unlike some, is something I really love. I've been using the Linksys Wireless Music Bridge (when I could get it to work) and it would send all of the computer sounds to the stereo -- including IM notifications and the annoying commercials that come up when you're tracking football/basketball games. Nice to not have to put up with that anymore! If you do want to hear those commercials, or IM notifcations,or watch YouTube on the computer, you still can. All of that will come through your computer speakers like it normally would.
I'm so happy I came across this. I highly recommend it for anyone who would rather hear their iTunes through their stereo than through their cheap computer speakers!

When I went to buy this 3 or so years ago I was a little apprehensive. I read a lot of negative reviews online that suggested the speed was low or that it died after less than a year of use. Luckily for me, neither of these have been an issue. I've had it for four years and it still works as great as I did when I first bought it. The speed is perfect for my everyday use downloading music, blogging, and watching videos online.
I also appreciated that like other Apple products it was really easy to set up and was not intimidating as well. Even if you are not much of a techy this sets up easily and works beautifully. It was so easy to set up the security settings I wanted and to change my password and other settings over time.
I love this product and feel like I definitely got my value out of this product.

Kudos once again to Apple! I live in a condo development where I am competing against several nearby networks for bandwidth and airwaves. While my Airport Extreme Base Station was efficient at what it is designed to do, no router could have conquered the issue that occasionally would degrade my signal strength while using my iPad in the family room. My Airport Extreme is in my office, and due to logistics, could not place it high enough up on a shelf for optimal range.
So, as a result of my research, I concluded a great solution would be to simply pop for the $99 and get the Express to use as a range extender. It works perfectly and now I enjoy a solid signal at all times and I'm ruling the airwaves! I had no problem with set up but since I was tentative in one area I DID call Apple; they responded right away with a dedicated network specialist and helped me conclude set up and it took less than 5 minutes. Just plug it in midway to any AC outlet between your listening area and where your Airport Extreme Base station resides and you're in business. Solid piece of engineering once again by Apple.

This device is wonderful. It's simply amazing how some products just work. I bought this device for the express purpose of streaming music to my Living Room. I have an Apple wireless network already. I configured this device as a client, hooked it up to a pair of JBL speakers, and Viola!! Where I had no room for a stereo of any kind before, I now have access to my endless iTunes library of music. A perfect choice for anyone looking to do the same thing. Oh...and if you have an iPhone, the free REMOTE APP lets you control the music from your phone.
