Digital camera Review: A great device

I decided that I wanted to be able to easily stream my iTunes music to our Onkyo SR-606 receiver with minimum fuss.
Setup took less than 5 minutes. I didn't need to use the software that came with the device, I just used the Airport Utility already installed on my Early-2009 Macbook Pro. It found my Airport Express and connected to my existing wireless network (Airport Extreme Base Station). Once connected I hooked the device to my receiver and was streaming music.
On top of that, I have the 'Remote' application from Apple installed on my iPhone and its great that I can walk around my house and choose my music. I'm planning on picking up at least one more of these to extend the music in my house. With the iphone application I can pick and choose which rooms I want to have the music in, just like iTunes on my Mac.
Add to that the Airfoil software available from Rouge Amoba and I can stream Pandora and last.fm over the AE too!
I can't recommend this device enough!

As far as extending an existing network and stregthening its signal, I haven't seen it do that very well. What is does do well is create a wireless network where you only had a wired internet connection previously. If you're staying in a hotel or at somebody's house who only has wired internet, plug the ethernet cable from the wall or modem into Airport Express, let your laptop find it, follow the on-screen instructions, and you have wireless internet. If you're experiencing difficulty getting the solid green light on the unit to remain lit (meaning you have a proper connection) or your laptop won't find it, reset the Airport Express. To do that, hold down the reset button with a pen or paper clip until it starts to blink fast, then release. KEY FEATURES
Easy installation - Whether you are an expert or not, you will require approximately the same time to install this device. There is my ethernet cable that plugs into my airport and then my speakers are plugged into it.
Compact - The device is compact and doesn't have any wires, thereby saving you space on your desk since it's just attached to my power spike (the power outlet with multiple sockets)
Genius Features - I can be anywhere in my apartment and play music using itunes either on my windows laptop, Apple iMac or my iPod touch. You see using Airport Express, you can create a network allowing you to stream music all over your house. I still don't know how to make Youtube videos and VLC stream music wirelessly using the airport. An AMBER light goes on when the airport express is restarting a GREEN light when it's strong..
Easy Accessibility - I say it's easily accessible because it never goes down. I have used many modems and wireless routers that need to be reset time and again. I never switch this thing off, even when I'm at work and not one occasion has it failed to give wifi signals.
Speedier downloads - I've used wifi on my windows laptop, ipod touch and mac desktop - on all three the speeds were consistent. Other modems (linksys) require you to change settings and can be confusing for some (like me)
Lastly, it looks good and there about five or six more features that i shall discover as I go along. Those who are hesitant about the price can opt for a $30 modem also but why go through the hassle of "complicated installation" and "port forwarding/ opening ports/static ip" and all of that stuff that leaves even an ex-computer tech like me confused. Very confused. So avert the confusion and choose this ((just a friendly suggestion))

WORKS GREAK AND EASY TO SET UP AND USE. I BOUGHT IT TO COMPLIMENT MY APPLE TIME CAPSULE. IT EXTENDED THE WI-FI RANGE BY A COUPLE HUNDRED FEET. APPLE IS JUST AWESOME, BUY ONE AND YOU WILL WANT ALL THE MAC PRODUCTS.Digital camera Review: AX connectivity question

Hi Community. I am THIS close to purchasing an "AE" for use in my kitchen ( 2 rooms from my stereo - which has a Mini w/iTunes hardwired into the amp).
Question: Can I use the mini to 2-RCA plug to go directly into a set of powered speakers and voila -- I'm set up in the kitchen? Or is there another step (hardware piece) I'm missing?
