Digital camera Review: Apple keyboard with Numeric keypad

Nearly three years ago, I purchased an iMac which came with one of these keyboards. I really like the low profile and the light color of the keys. My old Mac keyboard which I used with my G3 has black keys. The keyboard was replaced under warranty once already. Now, my iMac's replacement keyboard has given up the "a" key. The "a" key will not work with the shift key or the caps lock key. Lucky for me, my old G3's keyboard still works. If I am able to get my iMac's keyboard replaced under the extended warranty, it will be the 2nd replacement, the third keyboard. I recently purchased an Apple Aluminum Wired Keyboard. My new iMac shipped with a wireless keyboard. That worked fine, but the batteries must be recharged and replaced every so often. I don't have time for recharging batteries and replacing them as needed. Plus, the wired keyboard has a numeric pad. I make use of that numeric pad frequently. On the other hand, the wireless keyboard does not have a numeric pad. That's a big drawback for me personally. I'm not saying the wireless keyboard isn't good. In fact, the wireless keyboard makes for a less cluttered desk. That's a big plus. However, the wired keyboard with the numeric pad makes up for the additional wire on the desk with the less "clean" look. I suppose if Apple came out with a wireless keyboard with a numeric pad, I would probably buy it.
Last things, it was low cost, shipped quickly, works tres excellent, and looks cool with my wireless trackpad. Hope that helps.

I sit with my keyboard on my lap and have my Apply Desktop on the end table beside me. Over the three years, getting up and down the keyboard fell on the floor at times. I did not take gentle care of it when getting up and down. Some of the keys would become loose or come off. I glued them back on, but not the same. Ordered a new one here with the intention of taking better care of it. So far so good. This is not the small keyboard that is selling now with the computers. This is the longer, large letter, aluminum version which is easier to use for me. I love my Apple computer, have never had any security, virus issues. I am considering an Apple laptop or IPad. I've used other PC keyboards, including the semi-curved MS keyboard, and this Apple keyboard is the easiest, soft touch and tactile product I've used, yet. It's lightweight and, yet, has a very solid feel to it. Put it on your lap or on your desk, it's the best I've used.
