I had this item on my Amazon wish list and received it for Christmas. When I opened it, it never occurred to me that I would want to return it (it was, after all, an Apple ipod Nano armband)so I threw out the packaging. Fast forward to today, one week later, when I made the switch from my old Apple armband to this one. After 15 minutes and bloody fingers, I finally was able to get my Nano into this case. Imagine my surprise when after all that effort I discovered that there was no opening for the hold/on-off button at the top! So, then I had to try to get the darn thing out of the case to turn it on. It took another ten minutes to get it out. Because I don't have the packaging, I am stuck with this thing. Since I can't get the Nano in and out of the case without requiring a trip to the emergency room, I am going to cut off the top so that I have access to the hold button and I will just leave my Nano in there. For $30 and from Apple, I expected better. After reading reviews on the Apple store site, it appears that I will probably be cutting out the plastic that covers the wheel as well.Digital camera Review: Not correct size!

I read how another reviewer could not get their 4th gen nano into this thing and had bleeding fingers etc. I really can't understand this as I let our two year old slide it in and out with little effort. The product is very durable and easy to use. It hold the unit snug and is comfortable to wear while jogging and doesn't irritate the skin when you get sweaty. This is a very worthwhile product for your 4th Gen Nano and I would highly recommend it to anyone.Digital camera Review: Stick with the original

I had to replace by 1st Gen Nano with the 4th Gen and had originally had the "Apple Armband for the 1st Gen".
There was nothing 'wrong' with it. I just thought I'd try out other products to see if the armbands were 'better'.
I tried Belkin sleeves as well as Nike armbands.
The Apple Armband by far has the easiest access and comfort. The Nike armband is large and the velcro feels like it would not come undone.
However, it was so snug that you were going to damage either the plastic on the armband or your iPod itself.
The Apple armband has a velcro under that will actually hold the iPod bottom in place so it won't slide out.
It is an improvement over the 1st Gen armband where it slid in from the top and could slide around. With this version, you are able to slide it in snugly and remove without feeling as if you're damaging anything.
