Digital camera reviews of Apple Bluetooth Wireless Mighty MouseDigital camera Review: A Major Improvement . . . Summary: 5 Stars
This mouse is a vast improvement over Apple's one button wireless Mighty Mouse - mostly because you can both left and right click, and assign functions to the other buttons. To see how this works, test one out at an Apple store. While $70 puts this mouse on the pricier side of wireless mice, it does have Bluetooth, whereas many wireless mice require a wireless signal receiver in one of your USB ports (check to see if the other mice you are looking at require a USB port - they often hide this part in the container, so you don't see it until you open it up - which can mean yet another piece of equipment to keep up with and one less USB port)! Ultimately, I chose to go with the Apple mouse because I have confidence in Apple products and, like the other things I have purchased from them, I knew that whatever the best design features were, this mouse would have them. For simplicity, style and configurable buttons this is a nice mouse. There are other options out there about $15 dollars cheaper, but if you are the kind of person who likes to know you got a lot of value for your $, and if you love the useful surprises Apple builds into their products, this is a safe bet.
Don't forget to open System Preferences > Mouse & Keyboard to designate the right click function, 360 degree scrolling and which ever function you prefer for clicking on the scroll ball.
Digital camera Review: A Wireless Mouse is Best Summary: 5 Stars
Making my mouse wireless was the best thing I could have done. No more tangled cables. Plus with the Bluetooth, I can now sit back and use my mouse far from my computer with worrying about the mouse cable. Great product from Apple.Apple Bluetooth Wireless Mighty Mouse Now only if I can get my cat to stop playing with it.
Digital camera Review: AFTER slight self-done modifications, flawless Summary: 4 Stars
My Wireless Mighty Mouse had an annoying "jiggle" to the outer casing - the entire top would float down two millimeters before finding resistance to start the "click." It may not sound like much, but trust me, it was beyond frustrating when doing anything mouse-intensive. I tried to swap it out at the local Apple store, but they blew me off. So I opened it up myself - carefully (I found some instructions online) - and added some duct tape to a crucial spot and... voila! No more jiggle.
Now, I love it. The batteries last a loooong time! The 360-scrolling is fantastic. But if I was not the type to take things apart, I probably would have stopped using it after a while; the case jiggle would have been a dealbreaker.
Digital camera Review: Amazing Mouse Summary: 5 Stars
This thing is amazing! I've been using it for about 2 months now, never an issue (unless you call not being able to click well when I'm using it while seated at the couch, which is my fault - the mouse moves fine, even on the couch arm!) This thing has been amazing. I've tried other mice with my Macbook Pro, both wired and wireless, and none can top this one.
Ignore the reviewers who seem to not understand that you have to turn off the mouse for the batteries to last for 3 months (yes, there is a switch on the bottom shut it off to preseve the battery power) or those that think you can run a Mac w/ 512 mb of memory ram, opening four to five programs at a time without the mouse dragging.
Digital camera Review: Another amazing product from Apple Summary: 5 Stars
This mouse is great. The one I got was shipped without a manual, startup disk, or anything else. It was just the mouse in a shipping box. It was so easy to use I didn't even need any of those things. I put the batteries in and my powerbook found the mouse via bluetooth and I was up and running. Amazing. A must have for anyone using a laptop that gets annoyed using the trackpad.
