I was a bit concerned at first that it would not be as responsive as the wired mighty mouse but I'm pleased that this has not been the case. My Imac detects the device immediately, no lag problems experienced. Love the scroll ball and overall feel of the mouse. My only issue with the mighty mouse is the side buttons - learning to get a good feel on how to put the right amount of pressure to click it without right clicking at the same time takes some practice. Many times we ask why we pay so much for apple products. Well its because they are of the utmost quality. When you pick up an apple product you can just feel the quality of their products, as opposed to other companies that release cheaper products using cheaper materials. This product is no exception. It excells the expectations of apple owners, working outstanding in every aspect. The only negative points that come to mind are the price and the fact that its unnecessary to have a wireless mouse if your only using a basic mac or a laptop. Id say if you have a laptop get the wired mighty mouse, its cheaper, but if you must get a wireless, this mouse is definatly a beautiful thing.Digital camera Review: Excellent Product. Quality. I have tried quite a few mice, this is the best one, smooth and very sharp clicks and does not hurt my wrist, I prefer this to Apple magic mouse.
The only mouse that come close is Rocketfish mouse !

Owning a Powerbook, the wireless mouse is a great choice when you want to sit with the laptop at a distance. Rather than add to the product description, I will say the craftsmanship and design is second to none. Pairing the mouse to the laptop was seamless and very simple. It could have been done without reading the manual. (Yes, I read it first. It came with the mouse, might as well get my money's worth.)
Mouse operations are extremely smooth. It takes just a little getting used to pressing the unit itself instead of expecting a separate left and right mouse button as the majority of mice operate. Getting a popup menu is as simple as holding the Ctrl key while pressing the mouse.
The track ball moves very smoothly when tracking, and it is great when scrolling a page horizontally or vertically. Another great feature of the trackball is the ability to press the ball and execute a preset command. I set mine to Application Switcher. Works like a charm.
Some people noted the side buttons are hard to press. They are not. It depends on the position of your hand on the mouse when using it. The side buttons do not click as soon as they are touched, to keep them from being accidently activated when using the mouse. They have a bit of a 'restraint' to them, for lack of a better word or term, but they are not in any way hard to press. You are not going to 'bump' into them and perform a function you didn't want. I set mine to Expose, and they work flawlessly. Reset the position of your hand on the mouse and accuston yourself to the best hand position for you to execute the two side buttons.
Other mice use a USB dongle to pair to the computer, this one needs no attachments, and is the only wireless mouse in my estimation you should use with your Apple product.
I love this mouse, and I use it in conjunction with Apple's wireless keyboard. A great conbination!
