I purchased two of these cables (order fulfilled The OEM Shop), and instead of receiving Apple cables as the description says, I received two cables that were cheap knock-offs that didn't even work (they looked real, but Apple verified they are not). The seller refunded the price of the cables, which if you add in shipping costs equated to about refunding half my money.
I have since then tried ordering "Apple" cables from two other sellers and received counterfeit cables (that didn't work) both of those times as well. I suggest saving time and money and just order from Apple directly.

bought this a few weeks ago, got it quickly, plugged it in and my ipod freaked out and told me it wasn't compatible with that device. I can guarantee that it wasn't my ipod or my computer. This will not do anything, don't buy it.
