Digital camera Review: Good but expensive.

I bought this to replace my old adapter. The old one had fallen apart on the piece magnetic piece that connects to the computer. I heard that ALL the adapters break at some point under one and a half years. Apple must sure be making a killing on these since they are friggin $80! So far this new one has held up and I hope I won't have to replace it in the near future again. We'll see.Digital camera Review: Great Charger

The Apple MagSafe charger is good in principle....will work on any newer MacBook. Handy pop out tongs are nice for rolling up the cord for mobility. The only thing I don't like is the size. It's much thicker than the Air itself and doesn't fit well into slim notebook cases made for the Air. This in some respects defeats the purpose of the thin and sexy MacBook Air, particularly when traveling. If Apple can make a notebook this thin, they have to be capable of making a skinny charger to match.Digital camera Review: Keep looking

Notice that the Magsafe connector with this adapter is a conventional one, intended for use with a conventional Macbook. It'll charge your Macbook Air, but you will be unable to charge your machine while simultaneously employing the computer with its 4 bottom corners resting on a flat surface. So consider this an emergency spare, not a front-line piece of equipment. What you're looking for is the adapter that comes with a roundish, tiny, cylindrical connector with a magnet on top. If it's a connector extending straight out from the cord, there's no room to slide it into place with the computer placed on a flat surface.Digital camera Review: The Cord Breaks

I had to return this to the local Apple store after a year of use as the cord cracked near it's entrance to the brick. They did give me a new one without charge and said that this has happened a lot. If you travel a lot do not wind it around the wings that fold out as you will wear out the cord at the insertion.Digital camera Review: This ROCKS!!!
