Digital camera reviews of Apple Mighty Mouse KitDigital camera Review: As per other reviews: terrible Summary: 1 Stars
I've been using these mighty mice since they came out and I'm finally saying enough! The trackball has to be cleaned constantly or it jams up with the only method of cleaning it some arcane process of finding a fibre-free cloth and 'ethanol.' I've been using iKlear and a clean sheet of paper. But this is insane! A mouse shouldn't be this much labour. I don't have a problem with the various functions it has though. I disabled the side clicking function because I would always inadvertently squeeze the mouse and set off whatever I had programmed. Overall, a very disappointing product from the best in computer manufacturing and design.
Digital camera Review: Buyer Beware Summary: 1 Stars
Very dissatisfied with the Apple Mighty Mouse seller sold me! ITEM WAS NOTHING LIKE THE SELLERS DESCRIPTION! The cord had been shortened to half the size of an Apple Mighty Mouse cord. The tracking ball was broken. This item should have seen the GARBAGE and not been sold. I should have paid a few bucks more and bought from a reputable source. I guess the old saying "Buyer Beware" really applies to this seller.
Digital camera Review: Caveat Emptor Summary: 2 Stars
As part of a system upgrade, I bought a tailed Mighty Mouse. My Logitech S530 mouse died and I thought that having a tailed mouse and not having to change batteries would be a good thing.
However, the implementation was not what I expected. I reaffirmed that I don't like tailed mice. The cable is always in my way. But this was a minor irritation compared to what happened after I used the mouse for few hours.
I found myself in the middle of the "jumping mouse cursor syndrome." You can read about this by conducting a web search using your favorite search engine. Apparently, there is a hardware issue associated with some Macs and this mouse. Without explanation, the mouse cursor will jump to the left and stick on the left side of the window. In my case, that's on the left monitor and a long way from where I might be working (or playing a game).
I spent some time trying to debug the issue, but found nothing that would lead me to believe there is a solution to my problem. I don't think this occurs with all combinations of Macs and Mighty Mice, but it sure did with my system. Therefore, I returned the unit and replaced it with the wireless version of the Mighty Mouse, which apparently does not suffer from this issue. My experience with another wireless Mighty Mouse and my MacBook Pro was very positive.
If you're looking for an Apple mouse, spend the extra $20 and get the wireless version of the Mighty Mouse. If the other reviews scare you off, I don't think you'll go wrong with a Logitech mouse either.
Good mouseing...
Digital camera Review: Decent mouse Summary: 4 Stars
I admit I didn't pay full price for mine, but it's a completely usable multi button mouse. The scroll ball works well, you can right click, click while pressing the scroll ball, and squeeze to click (that is 4 different types of clicks). I haven't had any major complains or problems with this mouse.
Digital camera Review: Decent mouse Summary: 3 Stars
I'm fairly pleased with my new mouse because it has some cool features. (Examples: push the scroll ball and your dashboard with weather, etc. comes up, or push the sides if you have more than one window open and you can see all the windows on the screen and click easily between them) Although....the cord is incredibly short!! This would be fine if I were left handed because the USB port is on the left but I'm not, and that makes it really difficult to move the mouse around, etc. Just be advised before you buy this because it's a pretty big pain.
