Digital camera Review: Good mouse but annoying flaws
Summary: 3 Stars

I bought this mouse to use with my new Macbook Pro. I absolutely love the bluetooth connectivity. It works every time and I have not had any of the delay issues noticed by some of the reviewers. It tracks well and is a nice size.

One thing I have a problem with is the clickability; mostly on the right click but occasionally on the left click also. The problem is with the design of the mouse.

On most mice you hold the body of the mouse and you click the left or right button and only that button moves. On this mouse, the entire body of the mouse dips and rises as you click. The mouse sits on a little platform base and the entire body of the mouse moves up and down with each click. So what's the problem with this? Well if I'm holding the mouse between my thumb and other 3 fingers and push down with my index finger or my middle finger (for right mouse click) the mouse may not depress all the way while I'm trying to hold the cursor firmly in place on the screen.

You have to develop a light touch of holding the mouse in place but allowing the entire body to depress and rise again without interfering with it. I have found that this is the problem 90% of the time when I can't get the right click to take effect. If you hold it too firmly, it doesn't travel. If you hold it too lightly, the cursor moves and I've clicked on the wrong menu choice on the screen.

Also, scroll ball gets stuck on occasion, but nothing serious yet.

So eventually, its going up for sale and I'm getting a more traditionally styled mouse but still with bluetooth connectivity.

Digital camera Review: Good mouse, but trails Logitech
Summary: 4 Stars

This mouse is great at tracking with its precise optical capability. I also have NOT had any problems in 6 months of use with its scrollball or with short battery life. Both have been perfect. My only slight problem is that it doesn't track as quickly, even at the fastest setting, as my Logitech mouse. Still, I like the bluetooth capability and the fact that I can easily turn the right side of the mouse into the secondary button if I go to Windows programs.

Digital camera Review: Good mouse, with some caveats...
Summary: 4 Stars

Overall, this is a pretty darned good mouse. It features excellent tracking, it is thankfully minimalistic (unlike many mice that have so many buttons it's nearly impossible to figure out how to use the bloody thing), and has that wonderful mini-trackball, which is the best possible way to navigate webpages or large displays (such as Photoshop). Bluetooth pairing with my iMac was a piece of cake, and mouse sensitivity and speed is excellent. Stylistically, it is a great looking mouse -- typical Jonathan Ives stuff.

On the downside, the biggest complaint I have about the mouse is that the right click function is slightly spotty for some reason (right-clicks register maybe 95% of the time), and the shape is not ergonomic (though not bad in the hand). I'd prefer an Apple ergonomic mouse with the same minimalist configuration.

03-14-2008 Update: Well, the mouse just expired... I was using the scroll ball and it basically froze and would not turn anymore. Despite an hour trying to fix the problem, including an attempt at disassembling the device, it finally went into the trash and I picked up a Logitech v470 replacement. This was a disappointment given the mouse wasn't that old, but outside of its warranty period. Check out my Logitech review.

Digital camera Review: Good, but not perfect....
Summary: 4 Stars

Good and cute mouse. Almost perfect with most Mac computers. Not small enough to carry around if you want to use it with MacBook or MacBook Pro. Expensive. Using right mouse button requires some practices.

Digital camera Review: Good, but scroll wheel will fail everytime.
Summary: 2 Stars

Yes it looks gorgeous next to your imac but the truth is the scrolling on this mouse will fail at some point. AFter going through 3 of these, I went to the darkside and bought a microsoft mouse and have been scrolling since.
