Digital camera Review: Great mouse if you don't need a track ball

I was going to rate this a little higher, but how can I give anything more than 2 stars to something with such a chronic issue. I have had 3 of these over the past few years and all of them had a dysfunctional track ball within weeks. Too often I let a bit of my Apple Fanboyism seep in and blind me to the stunningly inept trackball design. The mouse as a whole works beautifully, but don't even consider purchasing it.Digital camera Review: Great mouse until it dies.

When I got an iMac the wireless Mighty Mouse came with it and it was great. The Apple bluetooth keyboard is awesome as well. Then a couple months later I couldn't scroll down at all, and I looked on the internet and found some issues with the scrollball and it needs to be cleaned. After cleaning it, it worked for another month and then ended up doing the same thing. After cleaning it this time scrolling down is rough and slow compared to scrolling up. I am going to purchase a new mouse instead of this Apple Mighty Mouse. I wish it was as reliable as the keyboard, because I have had no problems there!Digital camera Review: Great mouse, funky right click

I have owned this mouse for about a year now...and I love it! I have my Mac Mini hooked into my 42 " plasma - so I surf the web, use the computer from my couch. My couch is about 12 ft from the mac mini, and so far there has not even been a blip with the bluetooth connection. I use my mouse in conjunction with the slim wireless keyboard -[...]- and so far so good! I really like using the little 'trackball' as I can scroll left and right - not just up and down, like most mice. I use my mouse on a fiberglass cutting board - which has a 'texture' surface - and the mouse tracks just fine.
I rated four stars for a couple of 'minor' complaints - first, the battery consumption is more than what I expected - second, the right click function doesn't work every time....overall a good mouse!

All in all, I'm very satisfied with this mouse. I did have a problem however. After about 6 months, it got dirty enough that the up scroll stopped working. I've found this to happen in one other mighty mouse as well. It's close to impossible to open it up and clean it without breaking something if you don't know what you're doing. But I did it, and now it works fine. I expect I'll have to clean it again in the future.
There is a right click, as opposed to what some may say, you just have to change the preferences for the right click on your mac. Yes, the right click does only work about 95% of the time, but the sleek look of the mouse and scrolling feature make up for it. I love how you can not only scroll up and down but side to side. I also love the expose buttons on the sides. Very handy. As well as the dashboard button on the scroll ball. Altogether great mouse that looks awesome too.

I love this piece :)
Especially the scroll. Its very convenient, as it scrolls up-down and also sideways.
You can customise buttons on to the sides of the mouse, and the scroll ball.
As per this experience, I am planning to take the wireless apple keyboard too :D
