Digital camera reviews of Apple Mighty Mouse Wireless KitDigital camera Review: Bad design for long term use! Summary: 3 Stars
When we first got this mouse, we loved it, but it has a major design flaw. There is no way to really clean the little track ball, unless you disassemble the entire mouse and are really good with puzzles. Besides this, the bluetooth works flawlessly, the feel and usefulness is everything you would expect from Apple. Given the design flaw, Apple should start a cleaning support program that would allow you to get a free cleaning each year.
Digital camera Review: Bad scrolling and uncomfotable Summary: 2 Stars
The scroll ball stopped working properly after a little while. Several websites have tips for cleaning it, but I've had no success so far. Basically I can scroll up and sideways with the mouse, but for scrolling down I have to resort to the keyboard. Every now and then I also have trouble moving the mouse on screen. It just moves slowly regardless of my settings. As this seems to be fixed by restarting, this may actually be a problem with Mac OS and not the mouse.
The mouse appeals to me aesthetically, and as such is good for my use in a media center Mac Mini. It is not the most ergonomic device however, so I would not recommend this to anyone who needs to use the mouse often. It's more of a decoration than a tool.
Digital camera Review: Best Bluetooth Mouse yet Summary: 5 Stars
I was able to set up this mouse in OS X 10.5 in less than a minute, and it simply works. I've had other bluetooth mice, but none have been reliable enough. This one works better than my corded mouse which it replaces. Outstanding.
Digital camera Review: Best Wireless Mouse Summary: 4 Stars
Some have battery issues, others have range issues... This one performs great in both senses.
Although it is a bit heavy, i find it perfect for design purposes.
Cons: side buttons are a bit too hard to press.
Digital camera Review: Best mouse ever Summary: 5 Stars
I've been using this mouse for years, and it's perfect. Once you've used the scroll ball for a while, you won't want to go back to any ordinary scroll wheel. The mouse is nice and portable, perfect for laptop use. Most wireless mouses still use USB dongles instead of Bluetooth.
The mouse does take some getting used to. In particular, you have to make sure that you aren't touching the left half of the mouse when you right-click, since it's really just one button; it electrically senses where your fingers are. (You might also have to modify your system preferences.) This may sound absurdly complicated, but consider where Apple is coming from: They have hordes of devout, life-long one-button mouse users, while they also have people like us who demand right-click functionality. The Mighty Mouse is an ingenious gadget that should make everyone happy.
The wireless model is expensive, but worth it. It's an improvement on the wired variety in every way.
