It's nice that Apple change the big DVI port into a Mini Display Port. Looks very nice in the new MacBook and MacBook Pro; what I don't like that much is the idea of paying $30 for this accesorie + another $30 if I want to have the AVG adaptor. If you have to pay as much as you pay for your Mac, Apple at least should include the apadtors on the package.Digital camera Review: It does what it's supposed to do.

This adapter does exactly what it's supposed to do. Change Mini-Display Port into DVI. It does no more and no less than exactly what it says it does. So everyone quit your whining and get over it. If you wanted the normal display formats, then you should have got a PC. The price is the price, if you want the usual very high Apple quality then you get what you pay for, a solid adapter that does exactly what it's supposed to do.Digital camera Review: Its great. My favorite feature is to hook up a USB keyboard and mouse to my macbook air and then use this Apple Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter MB570Z/A to plug into my Dell monitor and then CLOSE THE LID and I can still wake the laptop from sleep and continue to use it like a real computer. Basically if you have a compatible laptop this product is turning your old PC monitor into a spare iMac when you want to plug it in. You could also of course use both monitors at the same time, and OSX has built in features to easily set it up however you want in System Preferences.Digital camera Review: J&R rocks but Apple stinks

This adapter would not be necessary if Apple had left the full-size DVI port they used to include on the MacBook Pro. Boo at Apple for screwing its customers.

Works great so far. It connects my Mac Book Pro 2010 with my 2007 Apple Cinema Display. The image is great and stable. No complaints.
