Works as advertised - what more can you ask? The picture on my oldy fashiony 47" tube telly is pretty great. I had a mini to rca for the audio, but don't forget to pick one of those up too or you'll be without sound through the TV till you do. The only criticism I have of this cool widget is that it doesn't seem to seat very securely. It's easily jogged and the weight of the unit itself could pull it out unless you have it all supported.Digital camera Review: Don't buy this with 2009 or later macbooks/macbook pros

The high review is due to the fact this device does work, but not with new mac's. The new macbooks and mb pros do not put out s-video or composite video. if you want to hook this up to a tv, buy a vga adapter and a male to male vga cord. Also, new mb's and mb pros support HDMI, but apparently, you don't get audio.
I tried trouble shooting with my macbook for a long time to see why it wasn't working, then took it to an apple store, where genius' troubleshot for 45 minutes, then looked up the specks on new macbooks to see that they do not throw out s-video or composite video.

This product is great! It's really helpful to have it, especially if a lot of the shows I'm watching are online and I'd like to watch them on tv. We recently went on a trip where the tv didn't have a dvd player, but we just hooked this up it worked out really well.
