I got this for Christmas for my wife who is an avid runner. She is not very tech savy, but she has had no problems with it so far and loves it. It is her favorite of all the running gadgets I've given her over the last few years. I got her the MARWARE Armband and Sensor Pouch to go with it so she would not have to go buy new Nike shoes before she used it. The only thing that is annoying, is that there is not a clip that you could use to fix the sensor onto your shoes, you are somehow forced to buy the Nike+ shoes where the sensor fits. But it works quite well if you use a shoewallet which is strapped onto your running shoes.Digital camera Review: Exellent device

I picked this unit up for less than advertised on amazon.com a few hours ago. Like some reviews stated, one doesn't necessarily need the Nike+ shoes, but considering I need a new pair of running shoes, I might as well grab a pair from my local Nike store. The unit works well with iPod Nano and iPod touch. I thought at first that it wasn't compatible with touch, but not only does it work with my touch(32GbSecGen), it doesn't need the receiver. I tucked the sensor into the laces of my shoe and walked around the block. My wife has the 4thGen Nano and it worked well also. Love the motivation that this gives me to go out and log my miles! It's not horribly precise, but after calibration, it's off maybe by 0.1 miles. That's fine for my training purposes. I highly recommend this if you already have a Nano - if not, it's worth looking into investing in a Nano as well.Digital camera Review: Fantastic!

I was worried since I am a walker more than a jogger, however it works beautifully for either! You calibrate it which is a breeze and enter your weight and you are done! Whats really great is that since you enter your weight, the calories burned are more accurate! I know the battery has a life of 1,000 hours and then you have to buy a new one. I dont mind though because I love it!
