Digital camera reviews of Apple iPod nano 2 GB Silver (2nd Generation) OLD MODELDigital camera Review: Capable, but not great Summary: 2 StarsI have had this model (8 GB red) for about 10 months now. I should have learned my lesson from my last iPod, but I liked the size and bought it anyway. I definitely give it credit for size and look, however, the battery life is not as advertised. I have never had the life that they advertise and if anything it seems to be decreasing. It is a continual frustration I have had with apple products so beware. Nice design....average execution. In some ways the product seems to have cheapened over time. Switches are not quite as substantial, the screen seems to be very prone to damage and I am doing everything I can to keep it from scratching. Additionally, like many apple products, it is a sexy product but lacking in some features.
Digital camera Review: One bad Apple iPod Summary: 1 StarsThis was by far my worst purchase experience ever at Amazon. The supposedly "Factory Refurbished" iPod did not work properly, had scratches/nicks on the case and I highly doubt it came from Apple. The process of getting my money refunded was too long. Their "online live assistance" is a sham, it does not even work. It took threats to get any response from the Seller. They totally misrepresented the product. I bought a current generation refurbished iPod (that looks and works like new) directly from Apple for the same price. I will never purchase anything else from this Seller.
Digital camera Review: Green Nano 2nd Generation iPod Summary: 3 StarsThe product came very quickly and was in good condition. There were no scratches and the software functions correctly. The earbuds were damaged, however, giving the impression that the iPod was damaged. When the earbuds were replaced the product worked as it should.
Digital camera Review: ipod 8 gig Summary: 5 StarsIpod is a great success. was a little shaky bout buyin a ipod online but it had no scratches and works great
Digital camera Review: Scroll wheel sucks Summary: 2 StarsYou've all owned an ipod before, so there's not much to say here. It's the best and easiest to use MP3 player on the market. 5/5
One annoying flaw about it is how it just randomly resets from time to time. Takes about 20 seconds to start back up again. Whatever, just a minor glitch. I'll live with it.
My real issue with it, and the reason why I'm writing this review, is the scroll wheel, which is not very durable at all. After less than a year, the forward button stopped working altogether. So I mailed mine back to Apple (paying like a ridiculous $20 for shipping) and got a new one... except that the forward button on this ipod broke too, this time after 6 months. I've read other reviews that had scroll wheel issues, so I know it's not just me.
So I'll probably end up buying a new MP3 player. And yeah, it'll probably be another ipod, even though I'm now reluctant to do so. Call me a sucker, but itunes just blows every other file transfer software out of the water. Shows the current state of the MP3 market we have right now.
