great product...with even greater price. the price for this 8 GB is a little less than the price for my 2nd generation with less memory.

When shopping for an iPod Nano for my 8 year old, the sales person at a well known electronics store highly recommended not purchasing the new generation iPod Nano touch screen (especially for a child). Instead he recommended purchasing a used, earlier generation nano for quality and age appropriateness. I am glad he did! We only saved about $10, but the quality is excellent and she was extremely pleased that she no longer had to guess what song was playing next on her shuffle!Digital camera Review: Good Little Player

I wasn't too sure about this purchase at first, but after I received it, I am constantly being surprised by its capabilities. It's lightweight and a comfortable fit in a shirt pocket. The price is very fair compared to other mp3 players. 8gb of memory is plenty for my use as i hardly fill it half-way.

I have not used the included earbuds as I already have a favorite set from another device. The features are too numerous to mention and they are already listed on the decription on Amazon.
You will need to download the owner's manual and the Itunes software if you don't have it already. The quick start guide supplied with unit is barely enough to get it turned on. The software is not as user friendly as I would prefer but after a few sync sessions it becomes easier.
All in all it's a good buy.

I got my new iPod the other day, so far its great.
I read a review that commented on the cover flow, when you turn it sideways it goes it cover flow. I actually love this feature, I get to my music mostly by the cover flow feature. I can see where this might not appeal to some people.
Another thing I can see people complaining about is the shuffle to a different song when you shake it feature. This is something I personally love, I forget I have some songs and I shuffle it and it's like "oh yeah, I love this song!" but I think for some people it might shuffle unexpectedly. I personally wouldn't mind if it randomly did that. To me it is a great feature.
Another thing thats new is the Genius feature, when your listening to your iPod you can hold the center button down and it will show you songs that would go great with the one your listening to, of course the ones it shows you are in your iPod.
I used to have the 3rd Generation iPod and I think this iPod has alot of the same things we've come to associate with iPods but also alot of new fun things, like how it knows how you move it and the Genius feature.
