We didn't need anything fancy for the gym, so this was a good choice for us.
If you like to choose your next song by name/title, do not buy this... get a regular iPod with a screen.

works really well and the sound is great. This is my first ipod because I thought I was to old (60)to learn something new but turns out, it was a lot easier than I thought!
